About Renavia Art

A home for painters who still work the old way.

Renavia Art is an independent art platform connecting artists, collectors and learners. Through curated works, teaching by master painters and art for spaces, we bring outstanding art into everyday life and support the long-term passing-on of artistic craft.

Classical and realist painting is being made today at a level not seen in a century, by painters trained in ateliers from Florence to Taipei. Most of them sell through word of mouth and a few galleries, and spend their days on everything except painting.

We exist to change that: to show their work properly, sell it honestly, teach their methods to the next generation, and pay them fairly and on time.

The name. Renavia (reh-NAH-vee-ah) joins Renaissance and via, Latin for “the way”: The Path to Renaissance.

Three ways in

How we work with artists

Half to the artist, from the first dollar

We split the net proceeds of every sale 50/50 with the artist. On an original, net means the price the collector paid, less any refund. Card fees, photography, advisors and our routine running costs come out of our half, not the artist’s.

On prints, courses and projects, the direct costs agreed in advance, such as printing, framing or filming, come off first, and the rest is split the same way. Artists are paid twice a month, with an itemised statement.

Artists set their own prices and choose, permission by permission, what we may do with their work. AI training is never one of them.

Authenticity & provenance

We are careful to say exactly what each document is. A certificate signed by the artist confirms the artist made the work; it is not an independent authentication.

  1. Identity check

By Renavia Art, for every artist

Before an artist joins, we verify their identity, visit or video-call the studio, and check their exhibition record and training.

  2. The artist’s certificate

Signed by the artist, with every original

Title, date, medium, size, a photograph of the work and the artist’s signature. Buying the original gives you the painting; copyright stays with the artist.

  3. Provenance documents

    Kept in your collection vault

Where the work has been since it left the studio: exhibitions, previous owners where known, and the invoice for your purchase, kept with the work if you resell it.

  4. Independent authentication

    Only on request

For insurance or resale, we can arrange an assessment by an independent specialist, at cost. We do not offer this as standard because, for a living artist, the artist’s own certificate is the primary record.

Paid promotion is always labelled

Artists and partners can pay to promote a work or an event. When they do, it carries a label wherever it appears. Editorial picks, Journal stories and viewing-room selections are never for sale.

PromotedThis is how the label looks.

Competition judging is independent

When we cover or host a competition, the jury works separately from our sales team. Awards cannot be bought, and selling through Renavia Art has no bearing on judging.

Partners

Partners work with Renavia Art under written agreements. Each partner’s role and rights are set in its agreement.
